The Earth turns roughly 365-and-a-quarter times on its axis by the time it has completed a full year’s orbit around the sun. That means periodically the calendar has to catch up. As a parent, the biggest wish I have for my kids is to be confident, and happy with who they are. We live in a world where there is a lot of pressure on our kids – well, us too – but that’s for another blog. We need to teach our kids to be happy with who they are, and accepting of others. Maybe if our kids thought highly enough of themselves, we wouldn’t have such a problem with bullying. A group of elementary school kids tried to stand up for themselves, and parents stood up and said no. Because they didn’t like the song. Here’s a video you have to see….. Read More

Drew Gregory was born and raised in the small farming town of Standard, Alberta about an hour outside of Calgary. Between working on the family farm and going to school he always loved playing the guitar. He became well known for showing up to every high school party with a guitar on his back. After high school he earned a degree in Geomatics. But after a year in the field surveying, he knew it wasn’t for him, and set off on a back packing trip to Australia in search of a future. When he came back to Canada, he knew music was what he was meant to do. So he began to concentrate on writing his own songs and developing his vocals. With his debut single plans of shooting a video, Drew is excited about getting his music out across Canada – the second album to be released shortly. He keeps farming with his dad, and is very busy touring all over Alberta with his band “The Hired Guns” and looks forward to his cross Canada tour. He’s playing in Sarnia tonight at the Coffee Lodge on Exmouth from 8pm – 10pm.
