The government wants to make some cuts and they have their eyes set on the medical field such as doctors wages, medicare, etc. Many listeners felt that the government should look at itself when it comes to cutting wage amounts, others felt the doctors should comply.

Times change with technology and another problem has changed with the times as cyber bullying has made itself a much bigger problem with the growth of texting, facebook, etc. Tamara Skipper of Rebound and Mike Hart of Sarnia Lambton Police talk about this new form of harassment and it’s effects on people.

A student wore a t-shirt that is interpreted by the school’s vice president as having the potetional to stir up hate. The worlds “Life is wasted without Jesus” were printed on the t-shirt, is this taking things too far? Are we barring freedom of religion and speech?

Lambton county is one step closer to banning smoking at outdoor playgrounds or sports fields. Staff are drafting a by-law that would regulate smoking within 9 meters of where kids are playing. Reaction to the decision was split on The Talk Show this morning

If you park your car in the street overnight you could get a ticket and depending on which day you do so you could also impede street services such as garbage collection. On the other hand should we be allowed to park after hours in order to make the streets more safe from driving impairment?

We are living in tough times.  With Hiawtha Slots now closed, and so many more people out of work – what do we do to get by?  The price of everything is going up, and the weekly pay cheque doesn’t.  Those of us who are working should consider ourselves lucky, when people we know suddenly don’t have a job to go to.  Most homes are double income households because we have to be.  What’s going to happen to the families without that second income, or worse -only- income?  Read More
