So this morning I find out these two guys from California watched a record 86 hours and 37 minutes of The Simpsons. Gee how these guys remain single is beyond me.  Ok I like the Simpsons as much as the next guy but over 86 hours.

To Spank or Not To Spank

Posted February 8th, 2012 by monty1 Comment

Today on the Talk Show, again the topic of Spanking came up.  It happens every year or so.  Some select group pushes the government on the issue of spanking.  When did we start to raise our children according focus groups and politicians?

Now I am of the old school, parents raise their children, teachers teach my children and my children actually get told to go outside and play.  Believe it or not if kids want a 3D image, the actual real world is in 3D.  I have to agree with Ron who posted on our face book page

“The sad thing about the study is that it mostly focuses on abused children. A gentle tap on the behind to correct a child is not abuse. If they want to get a true sample on spanking they should exclude cases of child abuse. Of course abuse children are going to suffer. There is a big difference between spanking and physical assault.”

Yes it is true most of these groups use the worst scenarios to push their point.  But when I grew up I knew the meaning of a spanking and feared it, when my father raised his voice I know it was the warning to straighten up or get a hiding.  Today my children know that if Dad speaks there may be a tap on the hand or on the bum and no one wants that.

I still think the man who knew children the best and whether spanking was needed or not  was one of the best fathers ever… Bill Cosby

Well once again the world is being subjected to American Idol.  I personally believe that musical talent should be discovered the old fashioned way, in cheap sleazy bars.
