Parker McCollum has had a #1 song on country radio, played dream venues, and signed a record deal, but those accomplishments haven’t been fulfilling for him.
“It didn’t fill my cup quite like I thought it was going to. Because I’ve been fortunate, man, everything I dreamed about I’ve got to do . . . I thought that’s what was gonna make it all okay, and it’s just not the reality of it. I wrote a song, it’s on that deluxe thing that came out, ‘Big Ole Fancy House’, that’s kind of what it’s about man. You know you get everything you ever wanted.”
